THE FRIENDS OF SAINT MARY’S

NEWSLETTER

THE FRIENDS of SAINT MARY’S, BARWELL were formed in November 1999 in order to raise funds for the restoration and maintenance of the fabric of St. Mary’s Church.

During the first 15 months they made donations amounting to £15,000 which contributed towards essential repairs and renewals of rainwater goods, replacement of timber in the Memorial Chapel which was damaged by Death Watch Beetle and the provision of an inside toilet and beverage area in the Bell Tower.

Membership of THE FRIENDS is open to all who want to see the preservation of our beautiful 13^th century Church. Annual subscription is £10, while Life Membership is given for donations of £100 or more.
