St Mary The Virgin Potters Marston
The Church of St Mary the Virgin Potters Marston is the smallest church in Leicestershire which holds regular services. There is a service, usually Evening Prayer, on the first Sunday of each month at 3pm. There is also a Carol Service before Christmas. This year it is on 21st December.It is a church built in the local granite, no steeple, spire or bell. It dates from the 15th Century. It is situated in the middle of a farmyard with views of the fields from all the windows. The churchyard is now closed and is maintianed by Blaby District Council.
The hamlet of Potters Marston has about 10 houses within its boundaries (The remnants of a medieval pottery were excavated in one of the fields at Potters Marston Hall).
